Scotch Broom

Bushy, shrub that grows 3-6’ tall.

Green Branches: Sharply angled with five green ridges, and hairy when young.
Small Leaves: Occur in groups of three. Each leaf is oblong and pointed at both ends.
Flowers: Bright yellow.
Fruit: Blackish-brown pods with hairs on the seams.
Eradicate: 1) Pull up with 5-6” of root. 2) Cut as close to ground as possible and apply SJI County herbicide to stems in ground. Contact Noxious Weed Committee or SJI County Noxious Weed Control Board for herbicide.
