How to Vote Online

Orcas Highlands HOA members can now cast their Annual Meeting and policy ballots online. Voting is quick, secure, and your selections remain anonymous.

How to Vote

  1. Sign in to your member account. Click Member Login in the top right of any page on orcashighlands.com. Don't have an account yet? Register here — it takes about 60 seconds.
  2. Look for the green "Vote Now!" button at the top of any page. It only appears when there's an active ballot.
  3. Read each candidate's information (or, for policy votes, the background context provided).
  4. Select Yes or No for each candidate, or Yes / No / Abstain for policy questions. Add a write-in nomination if the ballot allows it.
  5. Click "Submit Vote". That's it — your vote is recorded and counted in real time.

Good to Know

  • Voting eligibility: At such election the members may cast, in respect to each vacancy, as many votes as they are entitled to exercise under the provisions of the Articles of Incorporation and these By-Laws. If multiple owners in your household have accounts, whichever one of you submits first locks the vote for your property.
  • Your vote is secret. The system records that your property voted, but not how. Vote choices and voter identity are stored in separate tables that are never joined — the secret ballot is enforced at the database level.
  • Paper ballots still work. Online voting is supplemental. Paper ballots are accepted at in-person meetings as usual.
  • Real-time tally. Once voting closes, the Board's designated tabulator reviews the results and the official tally is included in the meeting minutes.
